Looking for a Place of Prayer

by | Dec 31, 2021

The new year is upon us. Perhaps you are reviewing this past year. Maybe you are resolving yourself to the next. In all of the flurry of our daily lives, make time for quiet time. When you feel crushed by compounding and increasingly urgent priorities, push back and set aside time for the truly important.

In Acts 16:13, Paul and his companions went to find a place of prayer. They found it by the river. They also found some women, including Lydia, who had come together to pray outside the city. The text conveys a peaceful, Saturday conversation that would forever change the course of their lives.

Do you take time to pray? Do you carve out quiet time to sit and talk? Doing so could change your life forever—and for the better. Paul and his companions met new friends on that Saturday so long ago. Lydia gained a new family, a family so much larger than her own. We can gain that same family for ourselves and have brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, aunts and uncles, all across the globe. How else could you invest your time that would net a return so valuable?

Are you tired of being too busy? Are you looking for a place of prayer? Come spend some time with us in quiet conversation over an open Bible. Drop by on Sunday morning!
