Reject the Evidence!

by | Jul 24, 2020

Popular science assumes that nothing supernatural can exist. Since the only things that can exist are natural, any evidence for the supernatural is rejected.

In John 9, the Pharisees assumed God could not work on the Sabbath. Despite this belief, Jesus healed a blind man on the Sabbath. The healing proved God worked on the Sabbath, but that disagreed with the Pharisee’s assumption.  Would they change their assumption or reject the evidence? They rejected the evidence.

Today, popular science assumes that the supernatural cannot exist. Despite this belief, there is a universe. The universe has no natural cause (the laws of physics do not apply to the early universe), and this implies the cause is beyond natural, or in other words, supernatural. But that disagrees with the assumption about the supernatural not existing. Do the advocates of popular science change the assumption, or reject the evidence? They reject the evidence.

The universe exists, and that supernatural cause is God. Are you looking for evidence that God exists, or will you reject the evidence? I hope you seriously consider your choice. Won’t you sit down with me, an old chemist, and evaluate the evidence? Perhaps you have already concluded that God does exist, and you want to know more about the good news He has for you? Won’t you sit down with me over an open Bible and study what God says to us today? What do you have to gain? Hope to see you Sunday at 9:30 or 10:45!
